[VIDEO] Presidential candidates in fierce debate
With just a week before the #presidential #election on Jan. 11, here's a recap of some of the comments the three candidates made at a recent televised debate. President Tsai Ing-wen from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party is running for reelection. Her opponents are Han Kuo-yu from the Kuomintang party and James Soong from the People First Party. They debated each other about relations with mainland China, honesty and keeping their promises, as well as what it takes to be a good leader. If you can vote, see which candidate is most convincing. Even if you can't vote, their proposals and character could still affect your life in Taiwan.
